Welcome to our blog. We are creating a Postcard Project similar to the one Michael Rose created in New York City- A Book About Death- in 2009 which has been duplicated in many other cities.
May 2017- Crossing Boundaries: Artists contribute 250 postcards each to create an unbound book about the topic Crossing Boundaries. Exhibition at Da Vinci Art Alliance Opening May 3, 6- 8 pm. the cards will be available until they dwindle down to zero. Exhibit ends May 24.
May 3- 24, 2017 an exhibit entitled Crossing Boundaries which will feature the artwork of 5 members/artists from our community who were not born in the USA but have immigrated here as well as all the entries for the Postcard Project.

Artists are asked to create a postcard on the theme Crossing Boundaries. Be they physical geographical, personal, sexual.... the artist will create an image and make 250 4 x 6 cards which will be sent to us (address to come soon). The public is invited to come into the gallery and select cards to make their own unbound book about Crossing Boundaries. Artist will send a jpeg to linda@davinciartalliance.org which will be published on this site as well as on Da Vinci Art Alliance's social media outlets. We will also use social media to share the images.
We recommend you include your name and website somewhere on the postcard.
Several complete sets will be collated and sent to art institutions interested in book art.

Include: jpeg of postcard, artist
statement (50 words or less), contact info, name as you want it to appear
online and in exhibition.

This is a public art project so it is free but, if you can help defray our costs, please make a donation
